DipDipDip Tatsu-ya is a Japanese hot pot and dessert-focused concept known for its playful, highly detailed approach to dining.
In collaboration with pastry chef Natalie Gazui, a series of custom ice cream bowls was developed to support the restaurant’s colorful dessert presentations.
The exterior features carved detailing with inlaid color, introducing subtle variation that complements both the interior glaze and the vibrant desserts served within. The result is a piece that adds visual energy to the table.
This project reflects an early exploration of Soul Matter’s hospitality work: collaborating directly with chefs to create pieces that enhance both presentation and the experience of eating.
